Qadoorah "More than 2000 cases torture during the past year"

 


A prisoner looses his eye and another has injured a main artery in the heart during interrogation.

The president of the Prisoners' Club Qadoorh has confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces exerted and continue to exercise violence, beatings, physical and psychological torture against Palestinian prisoners and everyday there is evidence and facts on the barbarism of the occupation forces against prisoners.  He also adds that for example the prisoner Majid Mohammed Khalaf from Rantis and who has been detained since 9/18/2001 and sentenced to 15 years in prison, and according to statement by him during a visit with the prisoners clubs lawyer that he was in interrogation for over seventy days in the Mascoobiya, and during the investigation he was subjected to all forms of torture from physical and psychological torture to beatings, being tied in by the hands standing all day, and solitary confinement, also being deprived of sleep for long periods of time.

Al-Jallad "The isolation cells in Nafha are like graves for the living"

The Prisoners' Club "The prisoners of Gaza deal with very bad conditions in Nafha

The prisoner Malik Al-Jallad confirms that the conditions in the isolation cells in Asqelan prison are very bad, and that the cell does not exceed a meter in width and two meters in length.  It consist of two beds on top one another and that there is no room to walk in it.  A little hole in the ground behind the bed is used as a toilet.

The Prisoners' Club: The director of Alhlekdar prison is unable to give him an approval in regards to his heart operation

The prisoner 'Omran pleas for his life from prison

The prisoner Sa'eed Darweesh 'Omran from Jineen has appealed to the President Abu Mazin, the Minister of prisoners, and the concerned authorities to address this situation and not to ignore what has become of his current medical situation and the fact that his life is currently in danger, as explained in a letter addressed to them through the Prisoners' Club.  The prisoner noted that he received treatment between 1995 and1999, at the Medical-City in Jordan, after that date he was unable to travel because he was wanted by the Israeli occupation authorities.  At that time it was decided that he undergo an open heart surgery in the main artery (mitral valve), however the operation did not take place due to his current situation with the Israeli security forces.  He continued to receive treatment and medication in the Injeely hospital and in Jineen.  'Omran explained that when he was arrested in 2004 he was transferred to the 'Afooleh hospital and the doctors decided to operate on him, however he is still waiting.  The prisoner suffers from constant pain in the chest, he is sent to the hospital regularly only to be examined and have an x-ray done for him, and then he is sent back to Alhlekdar prison.
